Andrew Gutshall is Associate Director of Taxation Policy at Kern and Company, P.C., Certified Public Accountants. Founded in 1980, the firm serves the Eastern and Central Pennsylvania market.

Andrew is a graduate of Penn State University, holding two Bachelor of Science degrees, with majors in accounting and in finance. For most of his academic career, he was on the Dean’s List.

Andrew began his career as an intern with Kern and Company, P.C. in 2002 and 2003. After graduation from college, he went to work for the international accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, where he specialized in corporate taxation. Clients that he worked with ranged from small closely held businesses to nation-wide publicly traded companies.

His work at Kern and Company, P.C. involves a wide variety of accounting, auditing, consulting, and tax areas. He specializes in the audits of state-wide not-for-profit organizations, and serves clients in the insurance, manufacturing, and construction industries. He also specializes in the taxation of trusts and estates.

His managerial duties at Kern and Company, P.C. include scheduling, oversight of the Firm’s print and electronic libraries, learning resource materials, and practice aids, and taxation policy. His work in taxation policy includes correlating developments in tax law with the firm’s client base and assisting in the development of the firm’s internal staff education programs relative to taxation issues. He is an active member of the Mechanicsburg North Rotary Club.
