Shea Saman is a business consultant and staff accountant at Kern and Company, P.C., Certified Public Accountants. Founded in 1980, the firm serves the Eastern and Central Pennsylvania market.
Shea is a graduate of Penn State University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. During his academic career, Shea served as both an Officer in the campus’ Accounting Club and as President in the Sigma Iota Epsilon sponsored Management Club.
Shea began his career as an intern with Kern and Company, P.C. in 2005 while finishing his last semester in college. After graduating from college, he relocated to the State College area and began working for Marshall and Associates, Certified Public Accountants, working primarily with small businesses in the area. As a staff accountant, he concentrated mostly on corporate and individual taxation, as well as compiled and reviewed financial statements. In 2006, Shea relocated back to the Harrisburg area and returned to work at Kern and Company, P.C.
His work at Kern and Company, P.C. involves a variety of accounting, auditing, consulting, and tax areas. He specializes in both individual and corporate taxation and tax planning, with a concentration in the taxation of clergy and audit of religious not-for-profit organizations. At Kern and Company, P.C. he is responsible for the firm’s information technology systems as well as monitoring various aspects of the firm’s internal strategic planning and external marketing efforts.
Shea is a member of and serves on the board of directors of the Kiwanis Club of the West Shore.
